Terms of Service

1. What This Service Does

The Resume Translator ("we", "us", "the Service") uses artificial intelligence to rewrite and optimize your resume, cover letter, and related career documents for a specific target role. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, interviews, or job offers as a result of using our Service.

2. Your Content

You retain full ownership of any resume text, career information, or personal details you provide to us. By using the Service, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of generating your career documents.

We do not store your resume or personal content after processing is complete. Once your career kit has been generated and delivered, your original resume text is not retained in our systems. Generated documents are stored temporarily (up to 30 days) to allow you to download them, after which they are automatically deleted.

3. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses AI (provided by third-party AI services) to rewrite and optimize your career documents. While we instruct the AI to never fabricate facts, credentials, or experience not present in your original input, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies.

You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before using it. We strongly recommend verifying that all facts, job titles, dates, and achievements in your translated resume are accurate before submitting it to employers.

4. Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars (USD). By purchasing, you agree to pay the listed price for your selected plan.

Because we deliver digital content immediately upon processing, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue that prevents delivery of your documents, contact us at hello@theresumetranslator.com and we will either re-process your order or issue a refund at our discretion.

5. Access Codes and Credits

When you purchase a multi-translation plan, you receive an access code with a set number of credits. Credits do not expire unless otherwise stated. Access codes are personal and should not be shared publicly. We are not responsible for unauthorized use of your access code.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate fraudulent or misleading credentials
• Submit content that infringes on others' intellectual property
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
• Use automated tools to submit bulk requests
• Resell or redistribute generated content as a competing service

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will produce any specific outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Resume Translator and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost employment opportunities, lost revenue, or damages from reliance on AI-generated content.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

8. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate, including but not limited to Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of the Service is also subject to these providers' terms of service. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party service providers.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
